Combined Engineering Entrance (CEE) is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination Kerala.

The office conducts this examination under the name of Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical (KEAM) Entrance Examination. The students willing to earn a degree in engineering / agriculture / medical / architecture take this examination, in general.

KEAM contains a wide no. of subjects, but students have to take the subject of their choice as per requirement and eligibility criteria. The students wants to earn a B.Tech / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. degree has to choose the test subject of their choice as per requirement and eligibility criteria. Admission to different engineering / technological disciplines is made on the basis of merit ranking of the candidate in the Combined Engineering Entrance (CEE) Kerala.


Eligibility:
Indian Citizen, the candidate should have studied in educational institutions in Kerala for at least five years within a total period of 12 years before the completion of qualifying exam (Pre degree or equivalent exam) or the candidate, or the candidate's father/mother should have born in Kerala or , the candidate has been a resident of Kerala, for a period of 5-year within a period of 12 years. Or Non-Keralaite candidates who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are sons/daughters of the following categories of non-Keralite parents:

Emplyees of the Government of India, or Defence Personnel posted in Kerala, or employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that the employees concerned have served in Kerala for a minimum period of two years or have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of Two years.

Age
Should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission.

Architecture course

(a) Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics and Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer Science / Biology are eligible for admission to Architecture course.

b) Candidates who have a Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, or an examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing aninstitutional course of at least 3 years, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final Diploma Examination are eligible for admission.

The duration of each paper is 2 hours.

Examination Papers for B. Pharm. Courses

Candidates who have applied for the Engineering Entrance Examination and who wish to be considered for admission to B.Pharm. course only in addition to the Engineering Courses should attend ‘Paper I Chemistry & Physics’ of the Medical Entrance Examination, in addition to the Engineering Entrance Examination.

Such candidates need not to appear for Paper II-Biology of the Medical Entrance Examination and they will not be considered for admission to any other Medical / Agricultural courses.

Examination Papers for Agricultural Courses

Candidates desirous of obtaining admission to the Agricultural courses, except B.Tech. (Ag.Engg), BSc.(DSc & Tech), will have to write Paper I-Chemistry & Physics and Paper II-Biology of Medical Entrance Examination. For being considered for B.Tech (Ag. Engg.) and B.Tech. (D.Sc. & Tech.) they have to appear for Paper I-Physics & Chemistry and Paper II-Mathematics of Engineering Entrance Examination.

Candidates desirous of being considered for admission to the Architecture Course will have to appear for both papers of the Aptitude test in Architecture and become eligible for inclusion in the rank list for admission to Architecture course.

Examination Papers for Engineering Courses

Candidates who wish to be considered ONLY for Engineering courses [including B.Tech (Ag. Engg.) and B.Tech (D.Sc. & Tech.) under the Kerala Agricultural University], will have to write Paper I-Physics & Chemistry and Paper-II Mathematics of the Engineering Entrance Examination.

Candidates included in the Engineering rank list will not be considered for admission to B.Arch. course based on their Engineering rank.

Kerala CEE 2010 Application Form:

Application forms and Prospectus will be available in the website at cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala from Dec 2009 onwards. Application forms will not be sold from the office of the CEE or from the office of the DME.

(i) Kerala CEE 2010 Application Fee:

1. For General candidates: Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only) as demand draft drawn in favour of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

2. For service & sponsored candidates: Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only) to be remitted in the Treasury under the Head of Account “0210-03-105-99”.

Those candidates, whose selection is based on the Entrance Examination, should forward their filled up applications along with supporting documents mentioned in the Prospectus and a Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- either by Registered post or hand delivery to,


a) Service candidates applying for seats reserved under various Service quota Should submit their applications to the Director of Medical Education, Medical College Campus, Medical College P.O., Thiruvananthapuram - 695011, through their Head of the Departments, concerned.

b) Service candidates also applying under General merit seat should forward the original application to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations with Demand Draft for Rs. 800/- and should submit a copy of the application form to the Director of Medical Education with Chalan receipt for Rs. 800/-
