The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), better known
as the Indraprashta University, was established by the Government of
Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
Act (9 of 1998) with a vision to promote studies and research in emerging
areas of higher education.
Courses offered AT GGSIPU:
Postgraduate Degree Courses: Various courses like MD, MA, M.Sc and MBA
are offered by the university.
Undergraduate Degree Courses: these UG Programs are of 2-3-4 years
Certificate Courses: various Certificate Programs are offered by the
University.
Some of the excellent courses are M.Sc. (Environment Management), M.Sc.(Forensic
Science), MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc.(Criminology) , MHRPD, MCPHM, , MAHM, MBBS,
MPT, MBA, B.Ed., BPT, BHMCT, B.Tech, B.Arch., B.Sc., BRT, B.Pharma.,
BCA, BBA, BJ(MC), BASLP, BMC, B.Sc.(MLT), , BHMS, PhD, , LLB, LLM and
Nursing.
Eligibility
For B.Tech & M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Engineering programmes a candidate
must have passed the 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent
with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
For B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Biotechnology programmes a candidate must have passed in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology.
Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core or elective) in the qualifying examination.
For Lateral Entry B. Tech. programmes a candidate must have passed in three-years diploma with a minimum of 60% marks from any recognized Diploma awarding institute / university / board recognized by AICTE in any of the following branches of Engg./ Technology:
Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing Technology, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes / Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel / Physical Handicapped are allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
The maximum age limit for all undergraduate programmes where minimum qualification standard is 12th pass is 21 years. For lateral entry to B.Tech. programmes, the maximum age limit is 35 years.
GGSIPU Common Entrance Test 2010 Application Form
Test centres for these programmes will be at Delhi, Noida. Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jalandhar, Nagpur and Bhopal. The test centres for all other courses shall be at Delhi only.
However, the University reserves the right to change or drop any test centre depending on the availability of the candidates.

The Admission Brochures for above mentioned programmes will be tentatively made available from last week of February, 2010.
