Geologists Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India, an autonomous entity established in 1950 under Article 315 of the Constitution of India for recruitment of candidates to the Geological Survey of India and the Central Ground Water Board for posts like Geologist (Junior), Assistant Geologist, Junior Hydrogeologist and Assistant Hydrogeologist.
Eligibility Criteria
Master's degree in Geology/Applied Geology or Marine Geology from any
recognized university of India.
Master's degree in Mineral exploration from any recognized university
of India.
Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines,
Dhanbad.
Master's degree in Hydrogeology from any recognized university of India.
Selection Process
Candidates short listed in the Written Examination are required to appear
for an Interview, which carries maximum marks of 200.
Successful candidates will be recommended for appointment after the interviews.
