HP-CMAT is a common entrance test for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for all the universities/ Institutions affiliated to universities in Himachal Pradesh. In accordance with the UGC guidelines there shall be only one entrance test for all such Institutions. The Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Technical Education has designated (MBA Deptt.) Institute of Management Studies, HP University Summerhill, Shimla-5, as the Nodal agency for conducting Entrance Test for MBA admission to all the Universities/ Institutions affiliated to universities in HP.

HP CMAT 2010 Examination Test Centres:
The HP-CMAT will be conducted at Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Solan, Chandigarh, Delhi and Dharamshala. The institute reserves the right to change the date/centre of HP-CMAT.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate who has a pass bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University.
The candidate should have got a minimum of 50% aggregate in the bachelor’s course. The candidates under reserved category (SC/ST) should have a minimum of 45% aggregate.
The maximum age of the candidate as on 1st Jul, 2010 should not be greater than 26 years.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST category has been given relaxation. The maximum age limit for these candidates is 29 years.
The students who are currently in their final year of bachelor’s course are also eligible to apply lest they fulfill all other conditions stated above.

Admission Procedure:
The admission of the student will be done on the basis of the merit obtained in the Aptitude test.
The students short-listed will be then called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The final selection will be made on the collective performance of the student in the written test, GD and PI.

Examination Pattern and Syllabus:
Their will be four sections in the aptitude test.
Each section will have approximately 50 questions.
The questions will be asked from:
English Comprehension
Reasoning
Business Environment
Arithmetic Comprehension & Data Interpretation.
