The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board was initially set-up as Pre Medical Test Board by Government of Madhya Pradesh in the year 1970. Later, in the year 1981, Pre Engineering Board was constituted. Soon after, in the year 1982 both these Boards were amalgamated and named as Professional Examination Board (P.E.B.). Professional Examination Board by Govt. Order No.1325-1717-42-82 dated 17.04.1982 has been assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission to various colleges in the state. P.E.B. presently organizes the following entrance tests:

MET : For entrance to MBA courses
Pre MCA : For entrance to Master of Computer Applications
Pre P.G. : For entrance to Post Graduate Medical & Dental degree & diploma courses
PPT : For entrance to Polytechnic diploma courses
PEPT & PAT : For entrance to Bachelor of Engineering, Pharmacy, Dairy, Agriculture, Forestry degree/diploma courses
PMT : For entrance to MBBS / BDS / BVSc Degree Courses
GNTST : For entrance to General Nursing Training (Only for girls)
Pre B.A.,LL.B (Hons) : For entrance to National Law Institute University, Bhopal
PAHUT : For entrance to Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani degree courses.
PNST: For entrance to B.Sc. Nursing Training (Only for girls)
SOE : For entrance to Schools of Excellence

The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board is a self-financed, autonomous incorporated body of State Govt. The Government has re constituted the Board of Directors for taking decisions on policy and organizational matters through Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board Act. 2010.

The Board is a body corporate by the name of the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board and has perpetual succession and a common seal with power to acquire and hold property both movable and immovable and has the power to transfer any property held by it and to contract and do all other things necessary for the its constitution and may sue or sued in its corporate name.

Eligibility:

For Pre-MCA : Graduate (The Bachelor`s degree must be of minimum three years duration) in any discipline with Mathematics as compulsory or an additional subject at either Higher Secondary (10+2) or at graduation level.

For MET: Graduate (minimum three years duration) or Postgraduate with at least 50% (for Unreserved category) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC category) in aggregate.

Note : Candidates in the final year of any degree examination can also appear in the Pre-MCA-2010/MET-2010 on provisional basis. Such candidates will have to produce the certificate of having passed the degree examination at the time of admission.

How to Apply:
Availability of Application Form: The Application Forms and Rule Book can be obtained on cash payment of Rs. 750/- for Pre-MCA, Rs. 1100/- for MET and Rs 1500/- for both Pre-MCA and MET (which includes test fee also) from (a) cash MPPEB counter and designated institutions from 29-05-2008 to 10-06-2008.

Professional Examination Board office by submitting a request latter accompanied by an account payee Bank Draft/Bankers Cheque of Rs, 800/- for Pre-MCA, Rs. 1150/- for MET and Rs 1600/- for both Pre- MCA and MET (which includes test fee also) drawn in favour of "M.P. Professional Examination Board, Bhopal of any Nationalized Bank payable at Bhopal. The application form shall be sent to the candidate by post. Such a request letter should reach M.P. Professional Examination Board on or before 6-2010.

Madhya Pradesh Pre MCA MET Test 2010 Syllabus

a) MCA:

Syllabus for the MCA Test shall comprise of the following topics.

a) MET:

Valuation:

3 marks will be awarded for each correct response, but no mark (Zero Mark) will be awarded for an incorrect response or multiple response or unanswered question. there shall be no negative marking.

MP Pre MCA MET 2010 Mode of Selection:

MBA & Allied Courses:
An entrance test MET-2008 shall be conducted by MPPEB for selection of candidates for admission to Management and Allied courses. The test shall have the following components :(i) Written Test (WT) 80% marks
(ii) Group Discussions (GD) 10% marks
(iii) Interview (I) 10% marks

MCA Courses:
An entrance test Pre-MCA 2010, shall be conducted by MPPEB for selection of candidates for admission to MCA course. The test shall have only one question paper containing questions from the subjects Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science and Logical & Numerical ability as per the prescribed syllabus.
