Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test 2008 (RMAT 2008)

Admission card-Thursday, 12th June, 2008
RMAT 2008 Test Date: 22nd June 2008 (Sunday)
Timings: 10 AM To 12:30

Rajasthan Technical University conducts RMAT. Rajasthan domicile students gets the admission in various management institutions and colleges in Rajasthan. This test is valid for 52 private and unaided institutions and 6 aided/government institutions.

Eligibility for RMAT:

Candidate should be graduate from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate. (45% in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates). Student appering for qualifying examination may also appear for RMAT, admission is conditional to their qualification for exam with required percentage within time limit. RMAT 2008 is open for Rajasthan domicile students only. The conditions are as follows

Category A: The candidate himself/herself or any of his/her natural parents (father/mother) is a bonafide resident of Rajasthan. (Certificate 2 (i) ) OR

Category B: Candidate has studied continuously as a regular student in recognized educational institutions in Rajasthan for the preceding five years up to and including the year in which he/she has passed the qualifying examination. (Certificate 2 (ii) ) OR

Category C: Candidate is a son/daughter of either a serving employee or of a retired employee of any of the following

Government of Rajasthan (including officers of All India Service in the State cadre of Rajasthan). (Certificate 2 (iii))

Undertaking/corporation/Improvement Trust/ Municipal Boards/ Panchyat Samities/ Co-operative/Autonomous Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan. (Certificate 2 (iii))

Statutory Bodies and Corporations formed under the India Companies Act., incorporated in Rajasthan. (Certificate 2 (iii)) OR

Candidate is a son/daughter of an employee of any of the following,

1. Universities/Govt aided or autonomous engineering colleges in Rajasthan or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, who has put in at least three years service on the date of submission of application in any of the above bodies. (Certificate 2 (iv) )

2. Central Government or Institutions of the Central Government including Public Sector Undertaking or Corporation and who is on the regular rolls and is serving in the State of Rajasthan on the date of submission of application. (Certificate 2 (v) )

3. Rajasthan origin, service in Defence/Central Government Service/ Public Sector undertaking/National Institutes of Government of India, who has put in at least three years service on the last date for submission of application irrespective of his/her place of posting provided a certificate is submitted by the employee from the employer to this effect stating the State of origin and the home town as given by him/her at the time of his/her entry of service. (Certificate 2 (vi) )

Note :

1. Ex-Servicemen (Ex-S) and the Defence Killed (DK) persons should be of Rajasthan origin for eligibility of their children in these categories. The State of origin and hometown as entered in the discharge certificate shall only be accepted as proof in respect of the above.

2. For wards of defense personnel from other states but serving in the state of Rajasthan, the domicile condition is waived off to enable them to appear in the entrance test and be selected in general quota. However, they would not be eligible for the Ex-S/DK category.

It is the responsibility of candidate to ensure the eligibility requirement. If a non eligible candidate is admitted due to any reason then the admission of such a candidate shall be cancelled as soon as the mistake is detected even at later stage.

Application Procedures of RMAT 2008

The application forms can be collected from the selected branches of Punjab National Bank in person on payment of Rs.1000. The selected branches are located at Alwar (Shivaji Park), Kota (Aerodrome Circle), Ajmer (Kachahari Road), Jaipur, Jodhpur (Shastri Nagar),
Bikaner (Rani Bazar), Chittorgarh (Pratap Nagar), Bhilwara (Bhupal Ganj), Bharatpur (Rajendra Nagar) and Sri Ganganagar (Birbal Chowk).
Candidates are expected to fill up the forms personally and submit it by 15th May, 2008.
The duly filled in application forms should be sent to the coordinator, RMAT-2008, Rajasthan Technical University, Rawatbhata Road, Kota (Rajasthan)-324022 by registered or speed post.
