The Aligarh Muslim University is a premier Central University with several Faculties and maintained institutions and draws students from all corners of the country as well as from foreign countries, especially Africa, West Asia and Southeast Asia. In some Courses, seats are reserved for students from SAARC and Commonwealth countries. Aligarh is situated in the middle of Doab – the land between the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, at a distance of 130 km southeast of Delhi on the Delhi -Howrah rail route and the Grand Trunk Road. The latitude is 27 o54' N and longitude is 78o05' E. The climate is hot and dry in summer and cold and dry in winter with an intervening rainy season. The University campus is 3 km away from the Aligarh town.

Candidates are required to indicate clearly in the column provided in
Application Form the name of any one of the above Test Centres which
they want to opt only for the above Courses. The other Admission Tests
shall be held at Aligarh.
Eligibility for AMU Medical Entrance Exam
Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS and BDS course should have
passed the higher secondary or equivalent examination with a minimum
of 50% marks in the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
Candidates are required to obtain at least 50% marks in aggregate (Chemistry,
Biology and Physics taken together) in the entrance examination.
Candidates should be at least 17 years of age.

By Post : The requisition may be addressed to THE CONSULTANT (ADMISSIONS), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002 along with crossed demand draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, AMU Aligarh payable at the State Bank of India, AMU Aligarh. A self addressed envelop of 29 X 21 cm. size bearing postage stamps of Rs. 65/- may also be sent with the requisition for sending the form and guide through registered post. Requisitions without self addressed stamped envelope shall not be considered and in such cases no, further correspondence will be entertained.
