Haryana Pre-Medical Test (PMT)


Eligibility:
This course is exclusively for in-service regular school teachers working within the jurisdiction of Haryana State. The applicant should have Graduate / Post-graduate Degree in any discipline from this University or from any other University duly recognized by this University with at least 15% marks provided he / she has offered at least one school subject at the first and / or second degree level.

In case of SC/ST candidates minimum pass marks in qualifying examination are required.
Application procedure: The course fee is Rs 40,000/- payable in two equal installments. The Prospectus containing Application form and detailed instructions can be obtained on payment of Rs 800/- (Rs 200/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana) from the University sale counter w.e.f. 02.01,2009.


2. Medium of Examination

The medium of Entrance Examination will be English.

The question-paper will be set in English.

3. Scheme of Examination

The Entrance Examination shall consist of one paper of three hours duration.

The paper will include objective type questions (45 for each subject) covering the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

4. Number of Questions and Maximum Marks
There will be a total of 180 objective type questions (45 for each subject of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology).
The paper shall carry a maximum of 720 marks.
Only objective type questions will be included in the Entrance Examination.

5. Negative Marking

For each correct response, the candidate will get full credit. Each incorrect response will be negatively marked and the candidate will get one-fourth discredit for it.

For example, where one correct response/answer is awarded four marks then in case of an incorrect/wrong answer the candidate will be awarded minus one mark.

Examination Pattern :

The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours. It will contain total of 180 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each correct answer will be awarded with 4 marks and their will be negative marking scheme. Each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark from the total.
