Overview
University provides entrance into Pharmacy course by conducting the Entrance test. Those candidates who clear the entrance will be available for admission into pharmacy institute. University provides the B.Pharma course into private and Government B.pharma College.

Eligibility Conditions:
(i) For admission to 85% State Quota Seats, the candidate (s) should be bonafide/ domicile of Himachal Pradesh. For admission to 15% All India Quota Seats, there is no such condition of domicile/ bonafide of Himachal Pradesh.

(ii) Should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Biology/ Bio- Technology/ Computer Science.

(iii) Age / Date of birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. However, in case of SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years who were born on or after October 01, 1990 are eligible.

By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-Cum-Sale Counter No. 1, Library Building (Basement), Summer Hill, Shimla - 171 005 from May .2010 (A.N.) to June 2010 during working hours on payment of Rs. 500/- for General & other categories, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST categories only.

By Post: The requests for supply of the prospectus by post can only be addressed accompanied by Crossed IPO’s/Bank Draft amounting to Rs. 550/- in case of General & other categories, and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST categories only drawn in favour of the FINANCE OFFICER, H.P. UNIVERSITY, SHIMLA- 5 while applying for prospectus by post, the candidate must write that the B. Pharmacy Prospectus 2010 is required and complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS along with telephone number be mentioned to,
