Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (PMT)

Eligibility:

12 years Sr. Secondary with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. BSc degree holders in the prescribed subjects are also eligible provided the candidate have passed the qualifying exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates should be medically fit. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam and whose results have not been declared are also eligible for PMT.

Age: 17 years on December 31st on the year of admission.

Application Procedure Application form and guidelines for PMT can be obtained from the Controller of Examinations (PMT), Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, or as notified on cash payment of Rs.80. The form can also be obtained by post on remittance of Rs.105 by Bank Draft. Completed applications alongwith test fee of Rs. 300 through bank draft in favor of the Registrar, Jai Narain University, should reach the Controller of Examination (PMT), M.B.M Engineering College, Faculty of Engineering, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur-342011 by the notified date.

Reservations All India entrance 15% Central Govt nominees 214 seats (4 in each of the medical colleges) 1 seat in each medical college for repatriates from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Uganda, Zaire and Vietnam who migrated to India during last 5 years). Sons/daughters of defence personnel (serving/retired) 3 seats SC 8% ST 6% (25% seats are reserved for girls candidates out of SC/ST reserved quota) Girl candidates (General) 25% Physically handicapped 2 seats.

Selection Procedure

i. The selection of students to a Medical College shall be based solely on the merit of the candidate through a Competitive Entrance Examination except for the candidates belonging to the categories of sub clause a & b of the Clause-II and reservation and priority-cum merit through State Competitive Entrance Examination for the category of sub- Clause 'e' of the clause - II Reservation.

ii. To be eligible for the State Pre-Medical Test, the candidate must have fulfilled the eligibility criteria including the qualifying examination as enumerated under subclause- 2 of the clause- III.

iii. The eligible passed candidates in the State Pre-Medical test will be admitted in the order of merit of the general as well as reserved seats except the seats belonging to the category of the sub-clause 'e' of Clause-II in which case it would be priority- cum-merit.

iv. Candidates securing equal marks in the State Pre- Medical Test will be admitted in the following order or preference:

(a) One who has secured more marks in the science subjects of 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

(b) Among candidates securing equal number of marks in the 10+2 or its equivalent examination, who have passed in lesser number of attempts will be given preference. If, there is a further tie, candidates who have secured more marks in Secondary examination or its equivalent examination will be given preference.

Application Form

Application form and guidelines for PMT can be obtained from the Controller of Examination (PMT), University of Rajasthan, Jaipur or as notified, on cash payment of Rs. 30.00 or Rs.42.00 through IPO if required by post.

Completed applications along with test fee of Rs.100.00 through IPO/Bank Draft in favour of “The Registrar, Rajasthan University” should reach the Controller of Examination (PMT), Rajasthan University, R.A.Poddar Institute of Management, Jaipur- 302004 by the notified date.

Exam Pattern:

Each question paper shall be of 300 marks and shall contain 100 objective type questions . Each question shall have four option to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. (+3) marks shall be awarded for each correct answer. '-1' mark for a wrong answer and '0' for un attempted questions . Bonus 3 (three) marks will be given in case of each doubtful/wrong question.
